Human Resources Manager

Bob Dyreng has headed personnel management since 2008 as the Human Resources Manager.

Bob’s tasks include recruitment and talent acquisition, job description development, compensation and benefits administration, legal compliance enforcement, policy development, orientations and trainings, insurance compliance and risk assessments, Workers’ Compensation return­to­work program, and performance management.

Developing and implementing formal HR programs was the task Bob was charged with when he joined IE. He began by instituting compensation and recruitment / selection processes, restructuring existing benefits, introducing a cafeteria plan, and developing job requirements and job descriptions. Bob’s ongoing efforts help to keep IE functioning efficiently.

Bob has years of experience in human resource administration. He worked as a Market Human Resource Manager in Western Colorado, a Risk Manager for Mesa County Colorado, an HR Manager for a major water utility, and has other HR management experience in the public sector at both the city and county levels.

Bob holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Master’s in Human Resource Administration from Utah State University. He has also earned SPHR and SHRM­SCP certifications.

Happily married for 37 years, Bob has four children and eight grandchildren. He likes to spend his free time in the outdoors, collecting books, and watching basketball.
