Dale Curtis

General Manager, IE Components Division

Dale Curtis became the General Manager of the IE Components Division in 2014. Dale has overall responsibility for the IE Component Division which specializes in product development, production, sales, and marketing of products for industrial power systems. The division is also responsible for component repairs and the UL509A panel shop.

Dale is an innovator. Before assuming his current position, Dale worked at IE for three years developing a world­class product line of over 25 electronic products for industrial electrical systems. He also developed new technologies with numerous patents and patent applications. He also established the IEC factory which produces thousands of products each year while meeting the highest standards of quality. 

Prior to joining IE, Dale was the Sr. Vice President of R&D at Fender Musical Corporation for 16 years where he managed nearly 100 engineers and designers and developed hundreds of products. Many of these products were awarded prestigious industry awards.

Dale was also an R&D manager at Harman International where he managed a team developing electronic audio products. Before working at Harman, Dale spent four years at Motorola as an Aerospace Design Engineer and Engineering Manager.

Dale holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah, and has also studied in the areas of technology, business, and project management in graduate school.

Dale’s extensive involvement in the music industry has awarded him some unusual opportunities, such as working with well­-known guitarists and major rock stars. A musician himself, Dale has enjoyed performing in musical groups throughout his life.
